EMMA COSGRAVE  @evcosgrave Choreographer for HOU 2021  Emma Cosgrave is a Ngāti Pūkenga dancer, choreographer, and scholar based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She is a current company dancer with Atamira Dance Company. Emma has also performed with Footnote New Zealand Dance in collaboration with Guangdong Modern Dance Company (China), choreographed by Sarah Foster-Sproull, and Okareka Dance Company. She has worked with a range of choreographers and dance collectives such as Malia Johnson (Movement Of The Human), Carol Brown, Sarah Knox, Natalie Maria Clark, and Dance Plant Collective. Emma is a graduate of Dance Studies, University of Auckland (2017) and has completed her Honours (2018-2019) and Masters (2019-2020) in Dance. #hou2021

An exploration of the spiritual realm, wairua. Two waters, spirit, energy, elements, and the unseen. Mauri is channeled throughout, gateways are opened, portals are revealed. This video came about after a Korero with Chelita Kahutianui Zainey during the process for Hou. I discovered a lot about myself after our session.
