For this episode I interviewed Suren Seneviratne @mypandashallfly about his project Missing Music, which meticulously documents obsolete music software, VST plugins and sound tools designed for Macintosh computers during the 1990s and 2000s. Originally conceived as an online repository boasting over 800 archival entries, the project has since transformed into a dynamic live audio-visual improvisation featuring Apple iBook and PowerBook computers authentic to the Y2K era.

Genia Isachenko is a sound artist and vocalist working with obsolete/unwanted technology.
Using a surround system which consists of small speakers, amps, and radios, they aim to draw attention to the unique sonic quality of each.
The night will also be an informal celebration of my (genia) birthday!

They Have The Computers explores the intersection between electronic music and sustainable computation. The show draws upon the culture of permacomputing to call into question the dependency of the arts community on modern tech hegemony, allowing musicians to develop and share alternative computational practices within electronic music.
The show will feature interviews with computational artists and musicians, and showcase music informed by permacomputing adjacent practices.
The first episode features an interview with mixed media artist Kat Macdonald, speaking about her relationship to permacomputing, her practice with radio and the London Community Laptop Orchestra.
