We have been working so hard on this project and are beyond thrilled to finally get to share CRUISING DIARIES BY THE KING OF SEX - a triptych of x-rated essays by Daniel Sanchez-Torres (@sup_dst ), filled with juicy, hot images made from the author’s archives. Daniel’s writing traces a decade-long evolution: from a young, newly HIV-positive twink hooking up with
older men, to becoming the older man that twinks now pursue, navigating sex in his thirties,
desire in the aftermath of overlapping pandemics, and the unlikely path that earned him the title
King of Sex.
This is a mostly true story.

Vol 2. Belongings comtrib feature: IZY CARNEY is a textile artist, writer, and community historian living in Washington, DC. “In Defense of Snooping” is dedicated to Izy’s best friend, Jess. During the 3.5 beautiful years they lived together, Izy delved into her textile art while Jess, an audio engineer whiz, conquered the world of found sounds and music composition. Izy often refers to Jess as her ‘artistic soulmate.’ Living with Jess taught Izy many things: how to have faith in her own art, to never be afraid of bugs or new social settings, and the profoundly intimate love that exists in friendships.
companion (n): one of a pair of things intended to complement or match each other. ~ for a long time, i tried to write about the way that i felt after my sweet, beloved cat passed away in march of 2024. but no poem emerged from the grief. it was only when i decided to write about her from a place of joy that i found the words. i’m so excited that this poem has a home in volume 2 of @everythingmatters.press , the “belongings” issue. now her memory belongs to the world too. <3 #poetry
