A big part of my curatorial goals with this gallery space is to bring artists from outside of Portland to show and make work here! I hope to foster new and existing relationships to our city while sharing art with Portland residents that they probably haven’t seen before!
It was such an honor to bring these two incredible artists all the way across the country from Brooklyn! Despite living in the same city, they also didn’t know each other, and now they are friends! 🙌🏻

Alexis Gallo is a Brooklyn based interdisciplinary artist. She typically works with acrylic paint, sometimes letting the paint dry in sheets so it can be cut and applied to canvas in an experimental collage-like approach. Her color palettes are often inspired by nature and her work explores themes of longing, transformation and reflection.

First Friday Artwalk! 5-8pm
Come out to the opening reception of Keepsakes, a two person abstract painting show with Brooklyn artists @glexisallo and @kikobordeos
There will be snacks and drinks and both artists will be present. Please show up, introduce yourself and support traveling artists coming to show in our lovely city.
