Ok, ya'll. I am coming out as a #decel & I am proud. This is who I have always been. I like working with my hands. I like using what I have... For a few days now, I have been designing a sewing project. I have fabric, needles, thread, measuring tape, and scissors~ But I don't have an iron! So, this video might be a little boring... But trust me, it took a lot less time to shoot it than it did to edit it. Who wants to watch me iron with a pot? I don't know! Maybe somebody else who can't access an iron immediately. Maybe somebody who also finds it surprisingly captivating to hear the sound of the metal against the damp fabric. Beats me! But well, I have always used IG to document moments so my future self would have little pieces of the past to revisit someday~ and I haven't been doing it much for a few years... So, sorry if it's a mixed bag, but it's not for you. It's for me. I am tired of exceleration, this constant rush forward~ I grew up when the internet was brand new, and it took hours to download content. Only now are they beginning attempts to regulate how teenagers can interact online! I know firsthand what can go wrong... And I am not saying I don't want technology; I just want it at a pace where we are making the best use of it... I am sick of seeing Ai slop. I love seeing real people share real knowledge and skills! As I let go of January and enter February, I want to celebrate becoming a documented foreign-born Korean resident. 💜 I honor my mother who left Korea, believing her children would have better opportunities in the USA. She raised me to have both a strong sense of duty and community in the traditional Korean sense. She showed me how to be observant of others, to anticipate the needs of others and how to be accommodating. But she also raised me to be free and independent, like an American--- to recognize injustice and always treat others fairly. I am blessed to have 2 countries to claim as my home now, and truly I am a Korean-American. 🇰🇷🇺🇲 #documentedimmigrant #foreignbornKorean #f4visa

Spent an afternoon working at my favorite local café, @lascoffee 🍵📖💻 This place always blows me away with its quality and atmosphere. Their #matchalatte latte is strong, and the #eggcustard cup was out of this world! You know when you take a bite, and your whole body pauses to enjoy the taste and texture? 😋 Mmm! I love journaling here~~~ Korean cafés like this are a writer's dream! They are set up to make separate spaces for customers to focus, study, or have a friendly meeting. Honestly, I just needed a place to use a strong Wi-Fi signal....... I took my time getting all of my devices and online accounts to acknowledge that we really are living in Korea again. For anyone who hasn't traveled overseas much in the past 5 years, this is your heads up that it can get complicated, verifying with Google and Meta services that it's really you~ Especially if you swap out your Sim card, and they want you to give them a code sent to your American phone number! Luckily, I use a two-step verification and keep my American number accessible with @numberbarn 📱🐷 I feel like I'm writing a freaking ad, but seriously~ I don't know how I would make it all work without having international text charges and cell service in 2 countries - - - if somebody hadn't told me about Number Barn. So, PSA 📢 If you are moving overseas long enough to cancel your mobile phone, you can park your number and for less than $4/month, you can continue to send and receive text messages from your number, just like you're still in the USA. So essential! Alright~ that's about all I have to share for now. New Guitar Day! My first #MartinGuitar Found her on Facebook Marketplace, and I wasn't even upset she was made in Mexico rather than Nazareth, Pennsylvania. For this price, even a high-pressure laminate will do~ In fact, she will be less sensitive to the weather when we go camping! The seller told me her son took about two lessons before he put this "LX Black Little Guitar" down, and there it waited for years--- She was glad to see it go into the hands of someone who plays. She may be small, but she's got a nice big sound! I'll try to post some tunes next time 🎶😎
