@malvika.btn VP at @londoncompetitions , sat down with @everleaf_paul , Co-Founder of @everleafdrinks at @barconventlondon , and honestly one of the most refreshing conversations we've had on a trade floor in a long time.
Paul built Everleaf as a bartender and bar owner not a brand strategist. And that shows in every decision he's made. While everyone else in the low and no space was racing to launch new SKUs and chase grocery shelf space, Everleaf went deep instead of wide. Three expressions, on-trade first, bartender-led growth, word of mouth across some of the world's best bars from New York to Shanghai. 🌏
What struck us most was his point on how the no and low category got here. Most drinks trends are bartender-led - they educate, consumers follow. With low and no it was the opposite. Consumers demanded it first. Bartenders were slow to follow. Now they're leading the charge and wearing it as a badge of honour.
