It started as a song that Eli composed and asked me to write lyrics for, which we then re-recorded at my meager studio / print spot in downtown Anacortes, WA. Took no time. Then, we made a video largely shot in iPhone burst mode (rapid photos - no actual video), printed out and colored on every photo with sidewalk chalk, and reconstituted them into this light animation. Being in no hurry, this part spanned... 2 years (:

In December 2021 I was starting to think about shooting some videos to promote 'Small', and I also needed to change my oil so I figured I'd combine the 2 chores. I made a detailed shot list and my friend Liam Poor (now @burntheboxpro ) worked the camera in exchange for a couple of meals. My friend Nich Wilbur (who recorded the album [@anacortesunknownstudio ] also from Arkansas) owns an oil filter wrench that I always have to borrow when I change my oil so that made it in. It's basically a documentary! I have no explanation why I sat on it so long (:
