Beautiful week in Santa Fe, NM on what’s become an annual visit w/ my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Sanders, and her husband, Sam! Nearly 91 years young, Sam still goes to the gym several times a week, walks their sweet pup, Muffin and I love hearing his stories about growing up in Los Angeles during a very different time in my city’s history. Mrs. Sanders still works at schools and together they run @dr.patty_envision_your_future , a non-profit focused on youth development. I had the pleasure of attending her teacher workshop at @pojoaquevalleyschools yesterday and was immediately transported back to being a student in her 4th grade classroom. I always leave here with a heart full of love and inspiration. Thank you Mrs. Sanders (Dr. Patty), Sam & Muffin! ✨❣️✨
