Introducing the first artist for our Night @gewoelbe_cologne Next week: @ev_mrd who will open up the Night. Eva Mo, based in Cologne, creates techno journeys defined by clean, fluid transitions and a strong sense of flow.
Her sound moves between deep, atmospheric layers and driving, hypnotic rhythms, enriched by the rough, uncompromising textures of early 2000s techno.
Free from strict genre constraints, she explores a more open and evolving sonic palette.
Balancing smooth progression with raw intensity, she creates sets that feel both controlled and unpredictable, pulling the crowd into a steady, ever-shifting groove.

Opening ist für mich immer ein besonderer Slot. Es hat etwas Intimes, da außer dem Club-Personal noch niemand anwesend ist und man ganz frei starten kann.
Genau deshalb beginne ich gern mit ruhigen, sphärischen Sounds, aus denen sich nach und nach mehr Dynamik und Energie entwickelt.
Und wenn man dann so richtig im Flow ist, hebt man den Kopf, steht plötzlich vor einer Menschenwand und denkt sich: „Wtf, wann ist das denn passiert?“
Gerade im Fi liebe ich es, auch mal in etwas experimentellere Sounds abzudriften und das passt für mich einfach perfekt in diesen Club. 🛸
Weiter geht’s am 24.04. im @gewoelbe_cologne für @rau.ton mit einem Opening, das stärker auf hypnotische und industrielle Atmosphäre abzielt. Ich hab Bock! 🖤

The techno scene and its events face increasing pressure to label and categorize. By omitting such labels, rau.ton aims to create an inclusive space for people of any class, nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, fashion style, or dance style.
Da sind so viele Namen, Genres, Events, Clubs und Erinnerungen, die mich viele Jahre hinweg inspiriert haben und mich zu dem gemacht haben, wie ich heute Musik wahrnehme und mixe. Ich denke allerdings, dass jede Person diese:n eine:n Künstler:in oder diese eine Sache im Kopf hat, wenn man gefragt wird, was die eigene Musik geprägt hat.
Für mich ist es @efdemin .
Es geht dabei nicht nur um den Sound, sondern das Gefühl dahinter. Ich kann DJ-Sets oder Produktionen als einwandfrei und absolut solide bewerten, der Kern ist aber: hat es mich berührt?
Efdemin schafft es, für mich einen Raum zu kreieren, in dem ich loslassen kann und mich einfach wohl fühle. Dabei empfinde ich so viel Schönes, dass ich das gar nicht in Worte fassen kann.
Diese Tatsache hat meinen Zugang zu meinen eigenen Sets leise geprägt und mir in vielerlei Hinsicht gewissen Druck und Zwang genommen. Es geht ums Fühlen, Wohlfühlen. Nicht darum, perfekt sein zu wollen.
Diese Platte bedeutet mir viel, da sie mich immer wieder daran erinnert, mir selbst treu zu bleiben und mich für mein Gefühl und mein Selbstvertrauen zu entscheiden. Vielen Dank für die Widmung (so geil) und an die Person, die es möglich gemacht hat.

Eva Mo is a Cologne-based DJ whose music focuses on groove-driven electronic music with a clear, restrained approach. Rather than fast transitions or dramatic shifts, her sets emphasize continuity, subtle development, and functional track selection. She is a resident at @plasma.koeln and with a focus on industrial techno, she enjoys choosing different genres to create a rich sound journey.
For this podcast, Eva Mo’s set stays close to club music without peak-time energy. It was guided mostly by feeling, letting the music unfold naturally. The mix combines emotional dub textures, subtle breakbeats and closes with ambient layers, with the mixing varying depending on the melodies. Sometimes smooth and subtle, sometimes more pronounced to match the evolving mood. The focus remains on flow, atmosphere and emotion.

New Faces is our platform for emerging artists. Hosted by our resident @ananda.priori , this edition focuses on fresh perspectives from emerging selectors within our scene. This New Faces presents a night shaped by strong identities.
Ben Reymann from Berlin brings a producer driven signature. Eva Mo from Cologne represents the unique @plasma.koeln vibe. Lichtenberg and DJ Brause complete the lineup with an all vinyl set that highlights the selector craft and gives the musical direction of the night its final refinement.

This opening was truly special, since it was our first time playing together and we were super excited. Everything flowed super naturally and we loved to see every single one dancing, enjoying themselves and flowing with the sound ༄
