Designed and printed some carbon fibre headlight surrounds to tidy up the looks of the front end. Need to add some drains now so the bowls don't fill with water.
I do have some clear covers for the headlights but I haven't yet worked out a clean way to fit them. And even if I do, these look cool.
I've decided to unify my social media accounts rather than operate separate ones for the various things I do. So you can now find me over on @bookofthefuture . It won't just be car stuff but I hope you'll enjoy some of the other bits too.
If you're curious as to why I've done this, check the link in the bio.
I know Blaupunkt aren't what they used to be, but honestly, nothing looks more OEM. And a thousand times better than the flashy 90s JVC unit that came with the car.
Now I just need to get some heated seat switches that actually fit.
On a bit of a whim this weekend I bought this Logitech steering wheel with matching manual shifter and pedals off FB marketplace. £100 seemed like a good deal given it's in immaculate condition.
It's very much a basic setup as far as racing games/sims go. And so far I've only played GRID:Legends, because it's included in the EA Play subscription I bought so I could play Star Wars games on the cheap. But bloody hell I'm hooked. Smashing it around Brands Hatch in a Lancia Stratos on your lunch break? Yes please.
Love these wheels. Love the chonky tyres. But there is a price to pay for them on the front...
Next project I think I'll put the 16s on. Unless I can find some narrower fronts (these are 7.5s)
Playing around with a custom icon font for my #diyev dash display.

Spacing is all wrong and I'm no designer but it's a big improvement in what I had before.
