Keeping this under wraps for the last 3 years, especially the last year, has been one of the hardest secrets I’ve ever kept. Yet, I am so excited to be able to finally introduce The Happy Hues Company and our line of Big-ups to the world.
Every learning and lesson has gone into building and executing this with the level of detail and care our babies deserve. I can’t thank you enough for rocking with me. Big-ups to you for sharing and double tapping and praying and encouraging and even challenging me to be better. I appreciate it and can’t wait to show you what’s in store for @thehappyhuesco !

I really believe that creating a better world begins with nurturing happy and healthy babies, inside and out. This intention has been a motivating force in my quest to add representation to spaces where it is absent, because I know it helps to build self-esteem and confidence as well as understanding and empathy for others. I never saw myself launching a baby and toddler care company, but what I didn’t see led me to this point.

We got married on Wednesday, March 13, 2008. It was a sunny afternoon. We said “I do” in front of family and close friends. Then we went to Red Lobster and ate all the shrimp and cheddar biscuits that we could eat. Young love! 18 years later, and we’ve got the hang of this thing called marriage and partnership. Here’s to forever @shockmadethis ! 😘❤️

There isn’t a person reading this whose life hasn’t been impacted as a result of 22 women who decided to lead by example, 113 years ago, on the campus of Howard University. I’m so grateful to be a Delta girl, to do the work of Delta and to forever strive to make Delta proud!
I told Sage to give me a 5 minute break. Just FIVE 60 second fingers and she basically hit me with the Black mother equivalent of “you gone miss me when I’m gone.” 😭
