I am honored and grateful to announce that I have been elected to the International OCD Foundation’s Board of Directors.
As many of you know, I’ve dedicated my life to making sure individuals with OCD and related disorders find help, hope, and treatment—to support the community using my own lived experience and to ensure that everyone currently struggling with OCD knows that they are not alone, and that they too deserve, and can live, a beautiful and full life.
I have played many roles in collaboration with the #iocdf over the last 14 years. I’m so excited to open this next chapter and continue serving this amazing organization and the community I love so much. ❤️🙏🏼
Happy Birthday to the love of my life, my partner in crime, and my forever puzzle piece!! You make my life (and the WORLD) better because you are in it!! Can't WAIT to celebrate you today @ethwriter ! ❤️👏🎉🎂🥳🎈🎊🎁
#ocdadvocacy travel time!!! Silly faces at the airport…. and excited to head to #exposurepalooza in Colorado and #SEPA in New Orleans! Excited to connect with folks, present, and have some fun! 💕🫂☀️🎉💖
Welcome back @sho_dexter !!
I thought I would say hello since I had the distinct honor of being Dexter’s VERY FIRST VICTIM in shooting order in the pilot episode of Dexter (2006).
I don’t think any of us knew the incredible show we were creating. It was amazing to see the incomparable Michael C. Hall discover Dexter over those initial first few weeks.
Fun story: If you notice in my kill scene, where Dexter is about to slice and dice Jaworski, Dexter’s wearing Saran Wrap around his face and I’m duct taped down. After we shot the scene, Michael looks at the director (the incredible @michaelcuesta ) and says “why am I wearing a mask, I’m fucking Dexter!?” The next kill (choir director) Michael wasn’t wearing a mask and his victim was covered in Saran Wrap. It was being figured out in real time and it was awesome. Ps: YES. The duct tape hurt coming off and I looked like a zebra for 2 months.
I’m now behind the camera, but that was most definitely one of the highlights of my acting career.
Cheers to #dexter !!! 🔪🩸💉
Thank you, Ethan.
We were thrilled to honor Ethan Smith last night with the inaugural IOCDF Legacy Award, celebrating more than 13 years of service to the IOCDF and the entire OCD community, as well as his countless contributions that will have a lasting positive impact for many years to come.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of advocates like Ethan, we are achieving a world where no one suffering from OCD or related disorders suffers alone.
Read more about Ethan’s contributions at the link in bio.
So proud to share that @ethwriter received the Inaugural Legacy Award from the @iocdf tonight—surrounded by friends, family, providers, and this amazing community. It was a total surprise on his livestream! 💛
Ethan created the IOCDF Advocacy Program, launched livestreams, helped build the virtual conference during COVID, and has spent more than a decade quietly showing up for thousands—offering hope, encouragement, and connection when it was needed most.
Before we ever dated, he was a friend who reminded me I deserved to get better. I truly don’t think I’d be here without him. And I’ve watched him do the same for so many others.
Thank you to everyone who came into the livestream to speak—and every single person who filled the chat with love and support. This award means so much, because he means so much to all of us. 💖🌸☀️

Join us for a FREE live event on faith, OCD, and scrupulosity with @bradensmith71 on Thursday, June 5 at 7PM ET! ☀️
@colts RT Braden Smith’s powerful interview brought life-saving awareness to Religious Scrupulosity — an often misunderstood form of OCD that latches onto someone’s deeply held spiritual beliefs and practices. And now… he’s joining us LIVE in the #stickwiththeick virtual community.
Braden recently moved so many with his heartfelt words — and now, he’s continuing the conversation directly with our community. His honesty and presence are truly a gift, and we’d be so honored to have you there.
We’ll also be joined by @ethwriter , @s2sfof , and @dr.emilybailey for a meaningful discussion on advocacy, athletics, clinical care, and hope — with time for your questions, too.
✨ I truly believe Braden is saving lives by speaking out.

Happy birthday to my heart, soul, and forever puzzle piece. You light up my life and bring laughter to even the hardest days. You are the first person who helped me love myself and see that I am enough, even in my imperfections. I’m not perfect, and the OCD journey can be tough….but having you by my side makes every single moment worthwhile and beautiful - always!! In a world full of uncertainty, you’re the only thing in this world I’m certain about. Thank you for making the world (and my life!!) a better place. Forever and always, plus one. 💕🎉🎂☀️🥳🎈🎁
