My studio in Mexico City was the representation of my understanding of the architecture as an element that contains the basic space elements to work without forget the approach to nature.

I am Herlo Jurado, the architect behind Ether.
This have been a way full of changes and learning. I am very excited for share my journey with you, continue working in my field and expand my knowledge about this place.

In physics, the term Ether es given to a universal, undetectable substance that filled all space. For me, architecture is the container of this substance and it can have a endless possibilities. The line under this shape is the earth line where architecture is supported.
This new age is going to be focused on the Canadian context, whit the same idea that it had in Mexico but giving the importance to different processes, culture and people. I am exiting to share with you the next few steps, all I have learned until now and the next projects.

Hace 5 años empecé este camino como un sueño etéreo. La pandemia pegó fuerte y el contexto social se vio afectado en la forma de recibir nuestra propuesta. 2022 dio un giro inesperado, nos tocó migrar y Canadá se volvió nuestra nueva casa. 3 años después seguimos caminando , adaptándonos y aprendiendo de nuevo. Nuestro contexto es otro pero los valores los mismos. Seguiremos compartiendo nuestro aprendizaje y cariño por el oficio sea donde sea. Éter se adapta para abrirse al mercado Vancouverita con un H que cambia su nombre pero no su significado.
We have moved. We continue growing and evolving.
Five years ago I started this project as a ethereal dream. The pandemic strongly hit our context and it changed the way our proposal was received. 2022 took an unexpected turn our plans and we had to move. Canada became our new place and three years now we continue walking, adapting and learning. Our context is new but our values the same. We will continue to share our knowledge and experience in this work. Éter become Ether, whit a H that change the name but the significance.

En memoria de mi abuelo, fiel seguidor de las ideas revolucionarias de Zapata. Reinterpretación de algunas edificaciones morelenses de la Ruta Zapata. 2023 comienza con esta propuesta para un par de edificios de departamentos y locales comerciales en lo que fue la casa de todos nosotros, sus nietos.
