Pointed it south and found the early-season bluefin biting. Took some sorting, but we stuck with it and put a few quality fish on deck.

Some call it crazy I call it having fun! Went out to some of the local banks and was able to hook into this beast of an animal! The shear power and endurance of these fish is spectacular and humbling. After a five hour battle of tug-o-war and multiple sights of color, we ended up pulling the hook about 20 feet from the boat right at sunset. A heartbreak for sure, but @grant.richey and I drove home with high spirits, hurt bodies, and a drive like none before to get one of the amazing creatures in the tube. The purple fever is real⚔️🟣👑
