Significant events in the development and progress of my personal life and entrepreneurial journey.
This does not come by accident. I’ve been doing the work in public and in private.
Accomplishments I get to celebrate with my people, in community, in West Adams, in Los Angeles.
Shit had to hit the fan in order for this knuckle head to get it together.
4/17/23 was Day.1, no looking back now.
I don’t achieve any of this work without understanding trauma.
I was stuck in survival, stuck in fight or flight, stuck in my hood ways.
Psychedelics paired with psychotherapy changed that. “Can’t Hurt Me” by
@davidgoggins helped me identify “Toxic Stress” Once I figured that out, my therapist said good, now go read “The Body Keeps The Score” by
@bessel_van .
Checkmate🔓 the healing gates opened 💚
I might sound repetitive when it comes to sharing my story, but I understand what it feels like to live that way. I see it all the time now, most of us are still stuck in trauma. It’s a fucked up world to be in, living in secrecy, not being able to share what’s really going on or what really happened to you.
“Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from their selves.”
“As long as you keep secrets and suppress information, you are fundamentally at war with yourself…The critical issue is allowing yourself to know what you know. That takes an enormous amount of courage.”
I’m free now. Lucky to have found healing.
These milestones are the result of years of hard work.
