Back then, the model’s output was often hilariously abstract and far less energy-consuming. 🌀 Deep News was created during a time when Polish public television was taken over and censored by the right-wing government (thankfully, we’re now in a different reality—though still not the best, as it’s still capitalist, where the right to asylum is denied…). A neural network analyzed headlines from TVP and created its own absurd, psychedelic news. Together with @flore_404 @xen0oon , we play news anchors of the future, where news is continuously generated, and the truth is no longer the focus—it’s all about the process of creation. In the film’s finale, the anchors generate new political systems using an open-source ideology generator available on GitHub. Eternal Engine is a multidisciplinary queer artistic duo formed by Jagoda Wójtowicz and Martix Navrot. Jagoda Wójtowicz (she/​her) is a new media artist, virtual space designer, 3D sculptor, and sound artist. Martix Navrot (he/​him) a creative technologist, poet, performer, and creative coder. Both are game designers who utilise game engines as filmmaking tools in their video works.
