Talking At Walls is out today. It is also my 44th birthday. I didn’t do that on purpose, I wanted to put it out on Tuesday because I think records coming out on Tuesdays was way better, but here we are • Originally thought up as a kind of “deluxe” to Holy Smokes, and a way to extend the lifespan of an album in a short-attention-span-era, Talking At Walls has ended up becoming its very own thing. This is how we sound when you see us live. It has 7 live performances of previously released tracks. It has one new song. And since the entire session was filmed, it’s also how we look when you see us live (4 videos have been released so far.) The band is Tim Lappin on bass, Bryan Bisordi on drums, and Paul Loren on keys/engineering/mixing. The film crew is Phil Sokoloff and Ian Havens. The cover photo is also by Phil Sokoloff. Everyone did their jobs really well and I love how this came out a whole lot. I hope your new favorite version of a Matt Sucich song is here, and maybe this is someone’s first impression of Matt Sucich altogether. I’d be more than okay with that. I’m still floating from Tuesday night’s show in Brooklyn and that alone is fueling this delusion for a little while longer. Thanks for all of your support.
