Aksel Rønning Trio (NO) expands the classic saxophone trio format with electronics and sampling, blending jazz, improvisation, hip-hop and electronic music into a distinctive sound. Led by saxophonist and composer Aksel Rønning, one of the promising voices of the new generation of Norwegian saxophonists, the trio will release their fourth album ACCIDENTS on Koke Lur Records on April 10, 2026.

This record is an hour long rollercoaster of emotion, poems, free improvisation and beats. Recorded over a year ago in the greatest space there is, @studiomartinroros by the kindest person there is, @vegardrishaug ❤️ Mixed by Aksel and mastered by @fredrikeliassen 💿
The title, ACCIDENTS, is an ode to everything unexpected. As improvisers we are constantly adapting to unplanned happenings in music. Small «mishaps» keeps us on our toes, and shapes the interplay. These are «happy little accidents» to quote Bob Ross. We own into the unplanned turn of events and let pure intuition guide us, and now its soon out wherever you listen to music!
