Even though top quilting is the final step in my bespoke process, these two custom long arm designs were actually where we began for this lakeside cottage commission.
With my background in illustration, I love being able to offer my services in quilting right down to the machine stitches by offering custom design work 🪡 It’s one more way to make the piece feel truly personal
If you’ve got a special project in mind, I’d love to make it with you! 💌 shoot me a Dm

In November, I’m going to have to say goodbye to my favorite place in the worldddddd. My in-laws are selling their home, and with it, the 12 acres of countryside magic where I spend all my time.
It’s not 𝘮𝘺 childhood home, so my in-laws have had their fair share of poking fun at me for being the most heartbroken of the crew. But it definitely ignites the child 𝘪𝘯 me.
You might think, “That’s a lot of photos of one girl and her dog” (and not her in-laws or partner), but it’s because I spend most of my time alone and barefoot outside in my special corner of the world with my comrade, Banjo. It’s one of the only places I don’t feel anxiety or the weight of our current world, and it’s where I’ve been able to reconnect with my inner child.
For the month of July, I’ll be spending most of my time here, recharging and fueling my creative bones through exploration and curiosity (and also doing some mourning).
Goodbye, lazy fishing creek. Goodbye, cloud-watching hill. Goodbye, fields of goldenrod. Goodbye, Sally Homemaker (the muskrat), Simon and Garfunkel (the twin snakes), and Tuna and Turkey (the resident geese).
This place has been a huge source of inspiration for me, and in honour of that, here are a few photos of my favorite spaces and how they reflect in my vision for ESBE! 🤍🌾
I spy with my little 👁️. You can now shop ESBE at @houseofirisdesign on Ronces!
What a lovely duo. Kate and Gautham have been nothing but joyful to work with, and their love for craft and design is so apparent the moment you walk into their special space. So much so, they aim to create a creative hub and community with their In the Work Shop series and Design Talks. Speaking of, I’ll be teaching an Embroidered Lampshade workshop on the 30th! Don’t forget to sign up 💡 (It’s a good idea) tickets in bio.
Some love for an OG. Said goodbye to an original the other day. It’s stained with the goldenrod of memories from a favorite place and time. 🦋

I’m so excited to be joining @houseofirisdesign for their In The Workshop series!
Come stitch, sip, and make your own Nonna-inspired pendant lamp with me. We’ll learn a few beginner-friendly embroidery stitches, then customize a soft fabric lampshade with embroidery, trims, and finishing details.
No experience needed. You’ll leave with a finished plug-in pendant lamp ready to hang and glow.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Nonna’s table without red wine 🍷
Tickets available at the link in bio, spots limited.

🪵 Meet my current obsession: The Log Cabin quilt block. It starts with a simple center square 🟥(traditionally red, symbolizing the hearth) and builds outward with strips. It’s one of the simplest constructions, but capable of truly endless variations. It turns leftovers into lineage, and feels like home every time. For that, I love it 💌

Starting Monday with gratitude ;) Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. Whether it’s through commissions, stopping by to say hi at markets and events, or even something as small as liking my posts. These big and little action allow me to do what I do. As such, I always take the time to write a little thank you card for every order 💌🫶

In my first reel I was like… “quilts are trending, is that bad?”
New theory: the trend isn’t the big issue.
It’s that mass-market pricing creates a false price anchor.
When the most visible quilts sit at $99–$329, that becomes the reference point for what people think a “quilt” costs, and suddenly handmade looks “too expensive,” even when it’s fairly priced.
I wanted to go full transparency to break down the true costs of quoting and compare it to the big guys.
Their pricing is made possible through scale + standardized production, not because quilts SHOULD cost that little. And if something takes ~30 hours… what’s the maker’s wage?
No shame if store quilts are what’s accessible. This is about not letting retail pricing erase craft value.
Trends don’t kill craft. Price anchoring does.
Side note: I do not know what’s up with the audio twang 🫠
