A key figure in Berlin’s musical communities, Sam Barker has continually pushed against the boundaries and conventions of techno music. He has produced groundbreaking releases for the likes of Smalltown Supersound, including 2025’s Stochastic Drift, as well as for Ostgut Ton. He co-founded the club night and record label Leisure System, and remains committed to collaboration and experimentation: His recent projects—including collaborations with Kay Sievers, AKA Version Duo, as well as with Norwegian saxophonist Bendik Giske—have done as much for acoustic science as they have for music.
It was only a matter of time until we locked him in for 180 minutes. His ongoing prioritization of live performance over DJing triggered an invitation to the Zenner Saal, and we are extremely proud and excited to welcome him for this rare and intimate evening of uninterrupted live performance.
The night will also feature Discrete Ensemble, a collaborative installation between Sam Barker and Kay Sievers featuring 8 automated acoustic string instruments. Billed as a living sound sculpture where every step transforms the music, it promises to elevate the 180 minutes experience to new heights of immersive sonic exploration.
Support on the night comes from Tokyo-based synth artist and MUTEK regular: machìna.

May 7th sees the next edition of Zenner’s 180 min series with the formidable JakoJako gracing our GDR-era Saal with a captivating 3-hour live performance. Through her practice that’s rooted in a deep respect for technical knowledge and hardware, she pushes her expertise into unknown territories in search of spontaneous moments of brilliance. Expect an intimate yet epic sound-journey into the outer reaches of consciousness. Supporting JakoJako on the night will be Irakli, who will warm up with a 2-hour blissed out DJ set. Few artists are better placed to tune you into the right frequencies for a night of deep listening with intention. Come early, stay ‘til the end. As always, doors open at 19:00 and curfew is at midnight.
The past year concluded with the long-awaited release of II, the second album by pioneering duo Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy & Neel). What began as a one-off live performance evolved into a project that has become a defining pillar of electronic music over the past decade; deeply influential, expansive, and embedded in the genre’s collective consciousness. Zenner proudly hosts the inaugural Berlin concert in a new series of live performances by Voices From The Lake, for which they perform solely own, already released material. All set within the venue’s sublime GDR-era Saal. DJ support comes from Udda.
Udda is part of the Bass Resistance crew and co-curator of the Vamm series. Native to Kharkiv and shaped by the Ukrainian music scene as part of the Kultura Zvuku and Gasoline Radio teams, she’s been carving out her sonic identity in Berlin since 2022. She is quickly gaining recognition for her deep, emotive, and cathartic DJ sets, centred around music that is always fluid, body-centered and deeply sensual.

a project we did with @erwin.lighting and @emiliagentis for 180min with @vril_01 and @wataigarashi at @zenner.berlin in May 2025.
We combined projection mapping, lasers and real time audio reactive visuals. Workflow - @Touchdesigner + @mad_mapper + @ma_lighting_international
It was particularly interesting to create a more complex routing setup with TouchOSC, TouchDesigner control over ArtNet via GrandMa, multiple NDI feeds, projector and laser sync and jamming with all of this as trio.
