Víctor Martínez, aka Error Etica, stands as a key figure in Spanish techno, with over 25 years of experience as a DJ, producer, and live act. Founder of Psychoskunk Recordings in 2004, he also operates under the aliases K3rn3l Pøissøn, Slaugh†ered Sain†, and Dialecto Zero, and has collaborated with Mirror Neuron, Depressurization, Random Users, and Kevlar. After early immersion as a vinyl collector and working at Spain’s major distributor Kiko Vinilo Distribution, he became a regular presence in Northern Spain’s underground circuit during the 1990s before expanding internationally. In 2006 he released Neljäs Runo on Pohjola, followed in 2007 by Dad to Dub on Sect, earning support from Luke Slater, Surgeon, and Oscar Mulero. He has performed at iconic venues such as Tresor and Suicide Circus in Berlin, Moog in Barcelona, as well as festivals including Dantz and Alkototabor. With more than 50 releases on labels such as Warm Up, Pole Group, and Reclaim Your City, his sound ranges from intricately detailed experimental landscapes to forceful, elastic techno shaped by distortion and broken rhythms, carrying a distinct IDM sensibility influenced by Autechre. The result is a dark, forward-thinking sonic universe that extends into soundtracks and audiovisual projects, driven by constant evolution and a firm independence from trends.
