What a couple of weeks it was - after months of planning, looking for locations, finding the perfect industrial hall (which we also painted in a cloak-and-dagger operation), getting down to print each picture like I wanted it to be, selecting frames with the generous help of @enricogehrke_nielsen_de (who also made sure the custom made frames all arrived in time instead at the end of december!!), framing each portrait and then hanging 90 exhibits in this enormous space up to finally letting in all the visitors and having @daspizzaprinzip provide us with amazing food, @magazin_com with some great furniture pieces, @rednib_clothing for shirts I used for more portraits of the project during the exhibition, delicious sweets by @feinetortenschmiede and @dj_m_o_b_official with the proper music, it was hands down one of the most exciting weeks so far. It made me so incredibly happy to speak in front of all the visitors, talk about @symphonyoffaces and announcing that I will keep this project going at least for another year, talk about the accompanying videos and gear that I use and getting requests for prints and limited edition versions of certain prints - if someone would've told me even at the beginning of this year, I wouldn't have imagined it even in my wildest dreams. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and visited my exhibition of symphony of faces and other works from within the last couple of years. you all made my day, my week, my month and my year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

my first camera I must have had in my hands as a child, though I didn’t start to photograph until sometime later in school but since I was a kid my dad showed me the importance of capturing pictures. Be it of nature, animals or people (which I came to dive into later on), it’s always a frame of a certain moment that’s preserved. I got to work with so many incredible people through the years, many of which became dear friends like @moonbootica_official , @paulvandyk , @dubfire , @tujamo , the guys at @electriccallboy , Bad Omens, Spiritbox and just so, so many others I could go on and on about talking, please everyone feel mentioned, you all have been amazing through the years. I had the privilege to travel the arctic as well as the desert for different projects, launched several exhibitions of „Symphony of Faces“. I wrote screenplays, filmed documentaries, directed Music Videos and just recently started a filmproject which I got amazing guidance from @genefallaizedirector - working with incredibly talented actors and actresses All that due to the fact my dad always encouraged me to do what I love and trusting me in using his beloved camera as a teenager - and a fun fact is that I shot this new movieproject partially with his old lens he used for stills photography back in the day. All that makes me proud and very happy when I think about it. And sadly, now he lost his battle with cancer, one he fought vigirously and fierce with a clear mind but in the end, it was too much. All this has taken time for me to process, but I share this to cope on here and also let you know why I might have been not as responsive as I used to be. I will take more time to get back to a new „normal“, whatever and whenever that might be. Thanks for reading and talk soon - J [e]
