Excited to share that my work, Prism Study: Innerverse 1, has been selected for New Glass Review 46, the annual survey of contemporary glass published by the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
A huge thank you to curator and editor Tami Landis @landis.tami and to the selection panel: Hyeyoung Cho, Simone Fezer and Lauren Gallow for including my work.
This year 745 applications from 47 countries were submitted and around 100 works were selected for publication, which makes the selection feel very special.
This work explores the illusion of interior space through reflection, line and viewer movement.
It is also currently on display as part of the @tommaloneprize at @lintonandkay in Cottesloe, Perth until April 6. I wish I could see the show in person, if you’re lucky enough to be in Perth, please check it out!

I’m excited to share that this piece, Prism #2 from my recent Parallax series, has been selected as a finalist in the Sunshine Coast National Art Prize.
This work is part of a new direction I’ve been developing during my recent residency, exploring layered surface treatments and optical effects in clear glass. Working closely with @jeffhamiltonglassartist — master glass painter and all-round lovely bloke — I’ve been experimenting with ways to translate traditional glass painting techniques into contemporary forms.
The exhibition is at @caloundraregionalgallery from 15 August until 12 October. Congratulations to all the finalists!

Every line is drawn by hand, one after another.
What begins as a 2D sketch slowly wraps around the form, translated onto glass through hours of repetition.
This process bridges drawing and object—surface becoming structure.
Multiple firings layer fine lines into the skin of the vessel, building visual interference and shifting depth.

Last week I had the honour of sitting for a portrait with fellow Sunshine Coast art prize finalist @raoulslater
Raoul works with wet-plate collodion photography, an 1860’s form of image capture based around silver salts, ether and gun cotton. It was a fascinating process to witness — equal parts science, alchemy and precision. I feel very lucky to have been invited. Thank you Raoul!
