Two dates. Two churches. Two distinct evenings within sacred architecture. THU 23 — S:t Johannes kyrka Doors 18:30 On stage 19:00 Curfew 21:30 Entry with Full Festival Pass or Pass A (Thursday pass) Tickets at the door: 160:- No age restriction FRI 24 — S:t Pauli kyrka Doors 17:30 On stage 18:00 Curfew 19:00 Free entry for all No age restriction As evening settles over Malmö, Intonal moves beyond Inkonst and into spaces where sound carries differently — slower, further, with more room to unfold. — Juli Deák — The Breathing Project (Thu 23) Juli Deák focuses on the physical act of sound-making. Using flute and saxophone, she builds long tones through circular breathing, letting airflow, key sounds and voice remain present. The result is close and concentrated, shaped by endurance, detail and careful control. — Erik Klinga + Lyn Vokalensemble (Thu 23) World premiere Erik Klinga presents new work created together with Lyn Vokalensemble. His electroacoustic compositions move gradually, with textures that shift and return over time. Lyn’s vocal practice brings in elements of early music and Nordic traditions, blending with the electronic material in a shared, attentive space. — Damkapellet / Agnes Kofoed Christiansen — If Not Us (Fri 24) A performative work for Damkapellet, composed by Agnes Kofoed Christiansen. Developed with choreography, the piece moves between music and physical presence. It reflects on resistance, asking how individual and collective expression can coexist in times of conflict. — Thursday is ticketed. Friday is open to all.

INTONAL 2026 Artist Presentation: Erik Klinga + Lyn Vokalensemble World premiere. Local darling Erik Klinga has spent the past year composing new material in close dialogue with LYN vokalensemble — Elin Oskarsson, Maja Kamne and Siri Anna Flensburg. His work, rooted in electroacoustic music across ambient, minimalism and restrained electronica, unfolds through texture and duration. The collaboration feels patient, shaped by listening rather than overlay. LYN move with ease from early polyphony to Nordic vocal traditions. Their practice carries traces of Palestrina alongside pastoral calls, microtonal inflections and overtone-rich resonance. Active within the contemporary folk scene, they have collaborated with Sara Parkman and the choir Tusen Tungor, and form part of XTC in the XIV. In Klinga’s compositions, elements of Swedish folk tonality enter an electroacoustic field of cycle and synthetic grain. Textures gather into an enveloping environment, then thin out, shift, return. The electronics ripple in their arcs; adding subtle distortions and dissonances at the edges. Within this space, LYN’s voices enter with elusive harmonic weaving and precise, expressive articulations. They navigate the circuitry with steady focus, allowing overtones to settle into the room. /erikklinga/ / /lyn.vokalensemble /majadorotea /siriannaf /eliiinoskarsson #intonal26 #intonal

ERIK KLINGA We would like to announce our last-minute replacement act for Friday’s opening evening at Fylkinge, Erik Klinga. Erik Klinga is a Swedish composer and musician known from the bands Simian Ghost, Light Vibes and Horse Show, as well as for his work as a drummer with artists such as Solen, Dolce and Mi von Ahn. Working from his studio, he creates electronic music focused on timbre, melody and harmony within repetition-based structures. His practice combines synthesized and acoustic sources with field recordings, and he frequently composes and performs using modular synthesis in the Buchla format. His music moves between dark ambient, drone, minimalism and electronica. Klinga has performed nationally and internationally at festivals and venues including Norbergfestival, Malmö Konstmuseum, Mengi (Reykjavík), Ekko Festival (Bergen), KET (Athens), Inkonst (Malmö) and Thanatosis Festival (Stockholm). He holds a BA in Electroacoustic Composition from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and an MA in Music Creation from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
