Here’s a cover of a “Don’t Know Why” written by Jesse Harris and made famous by Norah Jones. I’ve been trying to build a relationship with the Rhodes lately over at @legacysoundworks . It’s really nice to sing over a keyboard instrument and not feel like I have to push to over power an acoustic piano or organ or something! That allowed me to make certain choices vocally that I wouldn’t have thought of on this tune for sure. I’m also the guy that has to maintain this crazy old beast and it’s really important to play it as much as I can. #music #coversongs #jazz #singer #singing #rhodes
Here’s a cover of “Sunny” by Bobby Hebb and everyone else. Lately been really digging the @lachapell_audio model 983S mk 2 tube preamp, all of the dirt on the guitar here is from that box. Also running into the Leslie in the live room to get the rotary effect. Fun times with the patch bay @legacysoundworks Also just fun to not use a guitar amp at all sometimes.

Here’s some Alice In Chains, “Brother”
We’ve been wanting to sing this song for like 4 years and finally got it done around midnight last night

Had to pretend not to be an audio engineer for like 5 minutes ok? Just tossed up a mic and committed to not listening to it or mixing it, just because. This is “You’ve Been a Good Old Wagon” which is a very old song with a lot of conflicting information about who wrote it, so I’m just gonna say it’s by Bessie Smith, but am very willing to be educated if someone wants to engage. #blues #banjitar #folkmusic
Pull up tomorrow @woodburnbrewing 7-10! I’ll actually sing the chorus! Here’s a bit of Frankie Valli “Can’t Take My Eyes off You”. Might be the last time I’m playing solo for a little while!
I need more accountability on piano, I’m gonna try to post more piano covers so I can get better. Not trying to be crazy good but just after some consistency. Here’s “Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair” by Stephen Foster
Here’s me wrestling with a very old and crappy magnus chord organ. This thing just won’t behave. “Drown In My Own Tears” by Henry Glover. Happy Easter lmao #chordorgan
Here's a clip from last thursday's set at The Loon! Thanks to @theamerbuffalo for having me on the bill. This tune is an original called "nobody." I just posted a video of this tune as well as two others that kind of flow into each other on my youtube, look for the link in my bio to check that one out.
