For 46 plus years, my family lived here in Hillsdale, NJ. My mother and father bought it in the Summer of 1979, and we moved in on September 15th. We had bad times and good times, and struggles and pain, but somehow through it all, there was always love present. It was the last residence of my father, while my Mom moves on to an exciting new place not too far away. It was not just a house, nor just a home, it really was a part of our family. We lived here, we celebrated here, we cried here, we had holidays here, we watched games here, we fought here, we had the mundane here, we hoped here, we dreamt here, we grew up here, we died here, but most of all, we were a family here. On Friday, my Mom
@vivianpaulen said goodbye, brother who is not on social media, has really been the driving force and doing all the heavy lifting as I have been on the road for the most part since October 6.
@jennies6981 please show this to David, and let him know how much I love and appreciate him not for what he does, well maybe that, but for who he is. As I say goodbye to our home, there are some tears, some smiles, and a lot of memories of all kinds coursing through my head, my heart, and my soul. Goodbye Hillsdale, goodbye house, goodbye home, but we will always be thankful for how you kept us safe, warm, protected us, and were the best home for our family!
