spent last weekend painting this mural on the wall of the Neutra Institute in Silver Lake. it faces 2 other beloved neighborhood landmarks: @silverlakewine and @rockawayrecords
seven birds, each one 20 feet tall, moving west to east across the wall. i chose seven because in numerology it's the number of completion.
if you know Silver Lake, you know this building. richard neutra shaped what LA modernism looks like, and this wall has been part of the neighborhood longer than most of us have.
