Another Alpine Machine 40-45L pack done! This is going to Jon Miller in Telluride, buyer/manager at @jagged_edge_mountain_gear . Its one of the @challengesailcloth fabric test packs. Built to Jon’s requested feature set, basically identical to my test pack i posted the other day. 2” web belt, removable lid and front lid straps, roll top bivy extension for full weather protection when not using the lid. My guess the pack is just at 2 lbs, but just so you know, the padded belt with 1.5” web and buckle is actually lighter that the 2” seatbelt web belt and buckle. The blue on the front is 10 ounce jr ballistics nylon. New tent day here at alpine luddites. This is the " 3 person" tent by the original Sierra Designs, not the oversold husk of a company we have today .was made in Berkeley California . Three rigid aluminum poles, zippered stove flap in the floor for cooking, upper tunnel vents, machines alloy pole joint . Fly is not shown on the tent. Weighs about 7 lbs, sleeps 2 plus two dogs. FYI, this is my back yard. I never mow.
