The difference ten years makes! (Along with a phenomenal photographer haha)
Making this costume and doing this photoshoot truly felt like a full circle moment. Sesshomaru was one of the earlier characters that I ever cosplayed. I was freshly 18 in that second photo! My mother
@blueflameleather helped me make that old version, and always encouraged my love of making things, for which I am eternally grateful.
I can’t thank
@ericatticus enough for being not only someone who I consider a friend but also an amazing photographer who is willing to stand out in the sun with me and drive across town.
Also a huge thank you to the wonderful companies who kindly sponsored materials of this project ❤️ If you had told me back then that some of these companies would be working with me I would not have believed you.
@ardawigs Of course for the longest wig I own (I am 6 feet tall without Sesshy’s boots on, so finding a wig that would reach past my knees was challenging)
@thefoamory I am in love with the foam and can’t wait to use more of it, I might be planning a mostly armor build next just so I have an excuse to play with it more 😅
@jacquardproducts Silk dye and paint was easy to work with, even as someone without a ton of dye experience.
@fabricla__ The fur was lovely to work with, and I usually hate working with fur haha. But it is very soft, even after dyeing and being fairly rough with it. I actually had someone ask if it was real!
