MAKE & TAKE PROJECTS
If you’re short on time, their Make & Take projects are perfect. These quick, 15-minute crafts are designed for all skill levels and rotate monthly, so there’s always something new to try! It’s an easy, low-pressure way to create something custom and walk out with it the same day.
THE BELT BAR
You can also walk in and make your own custom belt at their Belt Bar. It’s a fun idea for a date night, a friend group outing, or even a private class if you’d like to book it for a group.

Tandy offers classes seven days a week, ranging from beginner to advanced, so whether you’ve never touched leather before or you’re looking to sharpen your skills, you can book classes online and learn from experienced instructors!
A LITTLE HISTORY
If you aren’t familiar, Tandy Leather has been around since 1919, supplying premium leather, tools, kits, and resources for generations of leathercrafters. Inside the new flagship, you’ll also find the Tandy Leather Museum featuring historic hand-tooled pieces from artists like Al Stohlman and even the world’s longest belt!

For my next project, I decided to make a pair of bracers. I am genuinely proud of how they turned out! Comparing these to the little pouch I made before, I can clearly see how much my skills have improved. The process felt more intuitive. My elven ranger journey continues as I have now completed all of the accessories, with an absolutely stunning sword frog pattern. As I work through each new piece, I’m feeling increasingly confident with the tooling and other leatherworking techniques. Next week, I’ll be starting work on the actual armor itself. I can’t wait to share updates as the project unfolds!
