We bought a house in Cape Charles (yes, again)! Follow along with the transformation of this 130-year-old home in the historic district, and find out about renting her this summer by following along at @apres_sea_capecharles !
Coming to Charleston feels like coming home in many ways. We moved here after college and started our adult lives together, got married and bought our first house here. This town was our playground, and every corner holds a memory. It’s been bittersweet to wander around and unearth these little gems from our past, remembering a time when life was a little bit more simple. Sharing it with our son makes it even more special — the problem is, he’s fallen in love with Charleston and is now asking if we can move back 😆
When my in-laws decided to swap a family trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a Spanish adventure this summer, no one complained! They were able to rent a gorgeous house with more than enough space for our big family — and a pool! — for less than you’d pay for a vacation home in the U.S. It may be a little extra effort to get there, but it was 100% worth it to make some memories on Spain’s incredible Costa Brava.
I love Paris, but can only handle it for a couple of days before I start to feel overstimulated and craving a change of pace. Luckily, the Alpine town of Annecy is an easy train ride away — and it feels like a literal breath of fresh mountain air after a few days in the city.
