We had a wonderful time at @kettlesyard a couple of weeks ago! Throughout the evening we filled this beautiful room with music from all corners, culminating in the premiere of a song cycle by @eric_egan Thank you KY and @_tommckinney for having us, to everyone who came and shared it with us, and thank you to the Arts Council Norway for the support!PS everybody - if you haven’t been, go see Kettle’s Yard House, for the fantastic exhibitions and also just the amazing space itself.#cambridge #newmusic #chambermusic #wanderers

On my way home from @hamarteater where played some pieces by the living legend @eric_egan, the dead legends Fernando Sor, Heitor Ville-Lobos and the most legendary legend of all - alive or dead: a piece by J.S. February the 12th I premiered @eric_egan’s 60 minutes long solo piece Sombras in Trondhjem, and played Alonso Mudarra’s 10 beautiful Fantasias from 1546. Thanks to @thoregilphoto for great photos from the concert.And to @nymusikktrondheim and @tfbno for hosting the concert. Hosted by @nymusikktrondheim This is short excerpt from the ninth Fantasia.Sombras is 10 Fantasias composed as the shadow of Alonso Mudarra’s 10 Fantasias from 1546. Had a tremendous day yesterday premiering a huge 30 minute + piece by @jonasskaarud «O, head full of blood and wounds». A deeply painful meditation upon J.S. Bach’s choral setting for Good Friday «O, Haupt voll Blut und Wunden». I also premiered the tenth Fantasia by @eric_egan, and played his first, fourth and eight too.Just a few minutes before the concert I dropped my glass slide, and it broke to pieces. …and I had to use an old battery that we just happened to find at the spot. Luckily, it didn’t go too bad.The complete Fantasias by Eric will be premiered in Trondheim, at @nymusikktrondheim, February 12th, next year. Huge thanks to @huser_olsen for his impeccable professionalism yesterday. When he accidentally smashed his glass slide just before the performance started, he played the 8th movement of my Fantasiá with a battery instead (you use what you have to hand). And did just as good a job with that!
