Today I received an unexpected, eloquent review of my book ‘White Crow’, written by Robin Tichener. I have added his text here but I have also added the Limited Edition that I make with every book I make (ed. 35 copies), mostly adding 1-2 works per book; they all come in a handmade box, made by @browncartonnages - my wife.
In this Limited Edition you’ll find two toyobo prints, made by Eric Levert/Amsterdam.
White Crow is the third book I made of a series of three books about crows. The first one was called God’s Allies (bookdesign Willem van Zoetendaal), the second one was called God’s Allies revisited. Both came in an edition of 500, both had a Limited Edition too (box+print) - everything sold out completely now.

Fotograaf en beeldend kunstenaar Anaïs López neemt je mee in het verhaal achter de Schildpad en de Monnik – haar multimedia-project over rouw, natuur en de magie van de verbeelding. Samen met producent Prospektor vertelt ze hoe haar zoektocht naar de gouden schildpad Kami, godin van de Kamo-rivier in Kyoto, uitgroeide tot een gelaagd project met fotografie, film, onderzoek, een boek en een tentoonstelling.
Met speciale bijdragen van:
Eefje Blankevoort, Eric Levert, Teun van der Heijden en Kris Schiermeier.
Live performance: de Japanse storyteller Terra Nohiro.
Moderator: Frederiek Biemans.
We sluiten de avond af met een grote vertoning van de film de Schildpad en de Monnik.
