We are loving @thedrummag ’s new podcast on BUY NOW! with film contributor @eric.liedtke and film producer Flora Bagnall. It’s been really great to see parts of the advertising and marketing industry responding so thoughtfully to the film and the issues it raises. “Netflix’s biggest launch of a (non-true crime) documentary last year was Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy, a documentary that took aim in no uncertain terms at the marketing industry. Reaching the streamer’s number-two slot in both the UK and the US, it’s arguably the most public broadside against the advertising biz for a generation. The doc is the brainchild of Grain Media, a small British production company focused on social issues. To make its case that the marketing industry needs to clean its act up, it draws on talking-head interviews with a number of significant figures from the marketing, brand and tech worlds to highlight issues around waste, driving overconsumption, environmental damage and dark patterns in digital media.”

@captainpaulwatson is a friend of mine but more importantly he is a friend and the leading protector of the oceans. This week Paul - Founder of the Captain Paul Watson Foundation @neptunespirates and Co-founder of Greenpeace and Sea Shepherd - was arrested by Danish authorities on a decades old warrant issued by Japan for opposing illegal whaling and shark finning. Captain Paul Watson’s actions have always been in the interest of us all- to defend the Oceans and its wildlife. Because “If the Oceans die, we die.” I’m saddened that Denmark @denmarkdotdk and Japan have nothing better to do with their time and resources then to arrest an ocean hero!! And you’re one hell of an artist @yovanni.del.rio @unlesscollective Short Sands Tee: “We decided to highlight one of our favorite beaches on the Oregon coast ! People call it many names! Short sand beach, shorties, shorty’s, short sands and so on .... Great surf spot and perfect for a hike and what not located in the Oswald West State Park off the highway 101. On the front we decided to go with a local flower “Trillium” In which can take up to 10 years to flower so don’t pick em!
