Really happy that these two little fellas will be showing in @sixteengallerycollective âs Small Works in just two weeksâ time.
Coinciding with Fresh Art Fair and The Jazz Festival, Small Works is a curated collection of affordable pieces all under ÂŁ500. With some truly wonderful artists included.
Iâm a big fan of the tiny artwork â smaller pieces can be intimate and quiet, yet powerful, inviting you to look closer, to engage more personally.
đď¸ Pop down and take a look 24 April â 5 May @sixteengallery
Artist feature: Ellie Cottrell is a Cheltenham based artist working primarily in oil pastel on paper. Her pieces are built through layered colour and texture, allowing the surface of the paper to remain visible. Often visually delicate, the works carry a strong emotional intensity.
We found Ellieâs work via our open call and fell in love immediately with her characters and delicate approach to oil pastel. Sheâs a stones throw away over in Cheltenham but we are so happy to have found her đ

I low key love a Monday. Especially a sunny(albeit ish) one. They can feel oddly positive, fresh, new and open. A root, growing slowly into a new week. Full of all the truths we hold and the start of those that will bloom.
So, something new and rooted for a Monday.

I took a few pictures when my work came back from the framers, before they went off to be shown, or to hide behind the sofa. Because.. the sun was shining, and my floor looked great, and my little palm thing was beautiful as the only not-dead plant in the room. So it seemed like the right thing to do.
Itâs nice to lay out a mix of the older and the newer, some sisters and some friends, to see how I feel about them in their âfinishedâ state â I donât know. I do love the framing. Have a look, do the feeling for me please x
