For the music video shoot for Pillars of a Twisted City’s “False Prophet”, co-cinematographers Mitchell Baxter (@mitchell.baxter ) and Jon Joffin, ASC (@jonjoffin ) had the chance to test drive Sony’s #VeniceExtensionSystemMini and chose to pair it with #ZEISSNanoPrime to make the creative vision come to life.
“The Nano Primes were a standout choice on ‘False Prophet’, especially for our night work in the city. We paired them with the Sony Rialto Mini, which made for an incredibly lightweight and nimble setup. We shot almost everything at T1.5 which with the dual ISO of the Venice, allowed us to work with very minimal lighting. Their sharpness wide open was truly impressive. We were able to find a modern, detailed look without it feeling overly clinical.”
Jon Joffin, ASC, who directed the music video, adds: “To echo Mitch, the Nano Primes were an obvious choice for our project. Not only are they lightweight, compact and always reliable when shot wide open, but they have gorgeous character and a lovely painterly background swirl.”

A rig from a few weeks ago from an Apple TV show. This was a little EV Rover that was rigged to tow a bicycle and actor. The Alpha was rigged on a Panther Maxi Absorber and ISO Dampener.
Also got to work with my wonderful girlfriend @amelia_kaine 😘
