TOTO GALLERY・MA presents the first solo exhibition by architect Suzuko Yamada, whose work explores a new architecture in which nature, people, and objects resonate together. Through free-form design, bold composition, striking color, and installations full of vitality, the exhibition introduces Yamada’s distinctive spatial imagination and the fresh energy it brings to architecture.
Raised by a mother who worked as a wildlife documentary director, Yamada grew up observing living creatures in the wild. The exhibition draws on that sensibility and presents her world as a rich polyphony, where nature, organisms, and landscape resonate through complex melodies rather than a single controlled harmony.
