It’s always fun planning and doing these photos. There is something about being in the water where I feel more connected to my true self.
When I spend a significant time away from the depths, I often develop a deep longing to return. Although I do enjoy diving deep, however, in the midst of constant training and competitions, there are times when it feels like a job and less of an innate desire.

I like to take time to enjoy the different aspects of the underwater world to maintain a deep appreciation for all it encompasses and to nurture the passion I have for being in the water.

Every dive feels like meeting yourself a little more.
Not because you become fearless, but because you learn to face yourself honestly. The fear, the doubt, the uncertainty, the uncomfortable parts, and the darkness we carry sometimes. And having the courage to keep going anyway.
I think that's what keeps pulling me back to the water. 🌊✨️

Would you rather tie a knot or untie a knot underwater?
This method trains a few things.
🔹️ Staying calm under stress. Often, a natural response can be panic, but this helps to slow down your breathing reflex, control urgency, and stay calm.
🔹️ Problem solving and cognitive function under pressure. This trains you to think clearly, follow steps, make decisions, and problem solve while time-stressed.
🔹️ Fine motor control and focus. This helps to maintain control as stress rises and forces you into a single-point focused state.

Exploring the Zenobia wreck in Cyprus.

Here, we are exploring just a small section of the wreck as the length of the wreck reaches 172.2m long and 28m wide. The top of the wreck ranges from 16-18m, reaching a maximum depth of 42m at the bottom. It would take several dives to explore different areas of the wreck.

Using the DPV with @martinruman_freediver was a great way to explore more area inside the wreck on breath hold.
