• ADORNMENT INFORMATION •
I wanted to update the look & flow of the information on pricing & deposits.
Nothing has changed!
I have just been in the mood to make the information even more crystal clear than it was before - give it a wee polish!
Plus I LOVE drawing ‘children book/antique’ frame styles! So this was also fun.

today I turned 47 and to celebrate I got a tattoo.
.
the last several years have had so much intensity, so many changes + lessons that turning 47 (a prime number) seemed significant.
big feels and much reflection brings a quiet and contemplative day.
.
the ouroboros is the most perfect symbol for a tattoo signifier.
I am most curious what this new year will bring.
Thank you @enchantedfables for making my tattoo dreams come true 💛

A buckeye moth from my repeatable butterfly and moth series.
I seriously love how these pieces translate onto the skin. The softness, the delicate textures, the layered stippling - they settle in so beautifully and almost seem to come alive as they heal.
The buckeye moth has such a striking natural patterning, with beautiful eye-like markings that help protect it from predators by startling or confusing them. Nature really does create the most incredible designs.
Like many moths, they’re also nocturnal pollinators, quietly playing an important role in the ecosystem while most of the world is asleep. There’s something so lovely about that - gentle little night wanderers helping life continue in unseen ways.
*the gorgeous face on her bicep is from another artist*
• GIFT •
This piece was recreated from an image by her mentor, @liekevandervorst , from the earlier days of Alex’s (@seasandtrees ) artistic journey.
There’s something so beautiful about the relationships between mentors and the people they help guide along the way. We all have those souls in our lives - the ones who help us uncover ourselves more fully, who nurture our gifts, encourage our growth, and quietly shape the paths we walk.
What feels especially special now is that Alex has so deeply found her own distinct artistic voice. Her work, her presence, and the way she moves through the world are entirely her own. She is endlessly inspiring and just such a genuinely wonderful human being.
This piece feels like such a beautiful tribute to both of them - to guidance, growth, creativity, and the invisible threads that connect artists across time and influence.
Blessed and honoured to have been trusted to recreate this meaningful image on Alex.
• RENEWAL •
A pussy willow from my flash designs paired with a cabbage white from my repeatable butterfly and moth series.
The soft little pussy willow always feels like one of the first whispers of spring - gentle, quiet, and full of promise. In folklore and old traditions, pussy willows are often tied to renewal, intuition, and protection. Because they bloom so early in the season, they’ve long been seen as symbols of resilience and the returning light after long winters.
The cabbage white was added as a little filler between existing pieces as we begin bringing together the final spaces of the arm with tiny creatures and soft natural details.
A little butterfly fact: before emerging, cabbage whites rest inside a chrysalis - a transformative stage where their entire bodies slowly reorganize and change before they emerge with wings. Such a beautiful reminder that transformation often happens quietly, unseen, before finally revealing itself.
• ROSA •
A Nootka Rose from my flash!
with this draw up, I tried to take inspiration from the “traditional” style of tattooing, where each side of the flower is more symmetrical.
I live this piece! It turned out beautifully.
• PEACE •
Two little pieces from my flash designs - sprigs of lavender and the silhouette of a horse (repeatable).
Two tiny beauties added into her growing patchwork sleeve, filling the spaces between larger pieces in that soft, collected-over-time kind of way.
Interestingly, the calming energy of lavender pairs so perfectly with the horse. Sophia is a total horse girl through and through, so these felt like such fitting additions - two things that bring a deep sense of peace to the heart and soul.
Lavender has long been associated with calm, rest, and protection, while horses so often symbolize freedom, intuition, and trust. Together, they carry such a gentle, grounding energy.
• BALANCE •
Two pieces from my flash designs - a flying owl paired with a sleeping fawn, nestled softly into custom grasses.
I love the quiet balance between these two. The fawn resting peacefully below while the owl observes from above - almost an “as above, so below” feeling woven through the placement and energy of the pieces.
The little fawn looks tucked safely into the earth itself, hidden among the grasses in that soft, instinctual way young deer naturally do.
A small woodland fact: mother deer will often leave their fawns hidden and sleeping alone for long stretches of time while they forage nearby. The fawns are born with very little scent, and by staying still and tucked into grasses or brush, they remain protected from predators. What can seem lonely is actually one of nature’s ways of keeping them safe.
Such a peaceful pairing - gentleness below, watchfulness above, everything held in quiet balance.
MOTHER’S DAY FLASH — held a little later, by design
I’ll be opening a small, intentional flash day the weekend after Mother’s Day. The actual day is for slow moments - dirt under nails, sun on skin, tending to the women who raised me, and to the earth that holds us.
This offering is rooted in something wider than the word “mother.”
It’s for the nurturers.
The creators.
The ones who hold others, and the ones learning to hold themselves.
The ones in bloom, in grief, in becoming.
Whether or not you claim the title, there is a quiet, ancient current that runs through all women and women-identifying beings — a tether to intuition, to care, to creation, to the wild intelligence of the body and the land.
This day is a small ritual in honour of that.
Of you. Of her. Of Earth.
Flash designs will be released soon - limited, symbolic pieces, first come first claimed.
If you feel called, trust that.
Booking will be limited.
$180/hr Get one piece or get multiple. It’s up to you.
Saturday, the 16th of May

• TOGETHER •
My wonderful cousin - who has been supporting me since the very beginning, back when I first opened my studio.
Her arm is basically filled to the brim at this point… we might have to start moving onto her leg soon!
This session was all about adding a collection of tiny fillers, weaving little details in between existing pieces and bringing everything together in that beautifully chaotic, lived-in way I love so much.
It’s always extra special having her in the studio - a space where we can fully be ourselves, a little unhinged, and completely at ease.
One of the pieces on her arm - the cat riding a broom - was done by @jude.jude.tattoo 🖤
A sleeve built over time, full of memories, connection, and so much personality.

A sweet custom piece created for my Aunty.
She had designed something similar many years ago, so this felt like a beautiful opportunity to revisit and gently evolve that original vision - keeping the heart of it, while allowing it to grow into something new.
At the centre, we brought in the ankh, an ancient Egyptian symbol of life and enduring spirit, interwoven with a heart and a simplified dragonfly. Together, they create this beautiful meeting point of meaning - love, transformation, and the continuity of life all held in balance.
The ends were softened into more decorative, flowing elements to reflect the blooming, ever-changing nature of life - how things expand, shift, and continue to grow with us over time.
