Embodiment has been a daily practice for me.
One I’ve worked on quietly, over time.
I began removing the clothes that felt heavy, ill-fitting and uncomfortable on my skin.
Pieces that made me feel self-conscious.
Pieces I saved for when I was thinner or fatter.
I had a wardrobe that was overwhelming.
I realised I couldn’t cultivate presence with my mind and body while wearing things that fragmented me.
So I raised my standard.
I started choosing fabrics that felt considered.
Cuts that allowed my body to settle.
Structure that supported instead of restricted.
Embodiment isn’t dramatic.
It’s cumulative.
It’s the quiet decision, every day,
to stay within yourself.
And for me, that practice began in my wardrobe.
And this is why I created CREATRICE.
Not to add more noise to fashion —
but to create clothing that supports that practice, that has been so integral to my own relationship with my body image and self-love.
