On International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who are part of the GUE community and contributing to exploration, education, and teamwork underwater. Today we’re featuring diver and instructor Emőke Wagner.
Emőke has been a GUE instructor for the past ten years and is currently based in the Riviera Maya.
For her, GUE has been much more than a training system. “GUE has given me far more than solid diving skills — it has shaped my entire life, opening doors to opportunities, community, and a way of underwater exploration that continues to inspire me every day,” she says.
Being in the water every day is something she considers a privilege. Teaching and diving within the GUE framework allows her to do what she genuinely loves while continuing to grow as both a diver and an educator.
As a female diver and explorer, and currently the youngest female GUE Cave instructor in the world, Emőke says she is proud to be part of a community that values competence, teamwork, and continuous learning, and that supports women pursuing ambitious goals in demanding environments.
Caves hold a particularly special place in her heart.
“They are magical and humbling spaces,” she says. “Exploring them will always be my greatest passion.”
Today, we celebrate women like Emőke and the many others in our community who continue to inspire through dedication, curiosity, and exploration.
Thank you, Emőke, for sharing your story and inspiring others!

Every dive is part of the journey!
Maria & Olmedo joined us at GoDiveMex for their GUE Basic Fundamentals class, putting in the effort, sharpening their skills, and taking on the challenge underwater.
GUE training is all about learning, precision, and growth — and every step counts.
Thank you both for diving with us and being part of the experience!

Long days, endless repetitions, constant refinement — and Heather and Jeff showed up for all of it.
Their commitment and hard work throughout the GUE Basic Fundamentals training was truly impressive. Strong foundations build strong divers.

Congratulations to Mar and Lukas for successfully completing the GUE Basic Fundamentals class! Your dedication, focus, and steady progress throughout the training truly stood out — well done on this important milestone. 👏
A big shoutout as well to Herwig, who joined the class as an intern as part of his instructor journey.
Strong team, great energy, and another solid step forward in the water.

An epic week of GUE Master Diver training (old Rec3) with Raul and CJ from Texas. We put in serious work with training dives in the deeper cenotes, then took it offshore in Playa del Carmen for some unforgettable trimix experience dives alongside bullsharks.
Huge respect for the dedication, discipline, and focus all week long. New skills unlocked, confidence elevated, and another big step forward in the journey.

Big congratulations to Ron for successfully earning his GUE Fundamentals Technical Pass at GoDiveMEX!
Through dedication, focus, and consistent practice, Ron demonstrated excellent control, solid foundational skills, and a true commitment to improving his diving.
A well-deserved achievement and an important milestone—excited to see what’s next on your diving journey!

What’s better than one tank? Two. But the real win is knowing how to use and manage them like a pro underwater.
Big congrats to Lane for completing the GUE Doubles Primer with us this week at GoDiveMEX! Nothing like putting those fresh skills to work with a couple of cavern dives in our beautiful cenotes—because practice should always look this good.

As the PURE Ponderosa project comes to an end, we’re excited to share our map with the community.
As a token of our appreciation for their support, we’ve provided our final map to both Cenote Eden and Cristalino. Divers will now be able to use these maps to explore and plan their cave dives, as they will be available at both cenotes.
We are truly grateful to all team members who dedicated countless hours of their free time to make this project meaningful.

It’s always a pleasure to welcome former students back—especially when it means sharing some truly fun diving. Juan is one of the dedicated ones. We spent several days on C2 dives, carrying multiple tanks through the stunning caves we’re lucky to explore here.
Captured here at our favorite cenote, Cocom, just before one of our dives.

Great week of GUE Fundamentals training with Valentina and Albert!
They quickly formed a strong, supportive team and showed impressive improvement in their basic skills, especially while being challenged in the beautiful Cenote Yaakun.
We also appreciated their “Toyota efficiency” in the water — our running joke for their smooth, reliable performance. 😄
Well done to both of you!

Casey and Craig joined us at GoDiveMEX for GUE Performance Diver training. 🙌
Both demonstrated great commitment, strong learning curves, and a positive team approach throughout the course. Over the dives, they worked on refining buoyancy, trim, and propulsion, building a solid foundation for their future diving.
Great effort from both of you — looking forward to seeing your continued progression underwater!
