Bad News: I got instantly so behind on posting. Good News: Iāve been so busy Iāve barely done anything so I can fit a bunch of cities in one post!
Here is Cleveland to Detroit all rolled into one. We opened in Cleveland, spent the holidays in DC and had snow days in Charlotte!
2025, reduced to 2 minutes! This year marked my longest time home since 2021. It was a very much needed break and reset after touring almost non-stop for four years. I got to go to Disney a couple times, I saw LOTS of shows, I designed 7 shows this year(!!!), met so many new and wonderful people and reconnected with old friends. Being back on the road with Spamalot has been an absolute blast so far and I canāt wait for what 2026 will bring! Happy New Year! #newyear
We truly have all been so lucky to be involved with this stunning production of Waitress at Saugatuck Center for the Arts! Waitress has been one of my favorite shows since the first time I listened to the concept album so to get to design it was really special! This show challenged me in ways I was not expecting. Once again, I couldnāt have done it without my team (@paige.francis.142@jsdesignconstructions@alannagorrigan@c.b.wisdom ) Joel practically had a window into my brain when they patterned the waitress uniforms of my dreams. They knocked out NINE waitress uniforms and FIFTEEN (plus a few trials) aprons in 2 weeks. It was a massive undertaking and I would have been lost without them!! Iām immensely proud of this show and will be holding it in my heart for a long time to come. These photos feature the company of Waitress at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. šø @saugatuck_arts
Come From Away at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts was a huge challenge that I both expected and didnāt. It was like putting together a puzzle where I knew what the final picture was but all of the pieces were upside down. Iām so proud of the work I did and the work of my incredible team (@paige.francis.142@jsdesignconstructions@alannagorrigan ) without them I could not have tackled this beast of a show! Paige and I did extensive research to ensure the different cultures were appropriately and respectfully represented. We spent hours shifting costume pieces around to make sure there wasnāt too much maroon or navy blue. We spent days tracking costume pieces to make sure quick changes would work. It was truly a labor of love! These photos feature the cast of Come From Away in Saugatuck, Michigan. šø @saugatuck_arts
I decided to do a Timelapse styling the Anna wig! Some of you saw the before pics of this wigā¦I ended up buying a new one because the other one was not in great shape. This will always be one of my favorite wigs to work on! Itās so simple and yet so iconic! #frozenjr #costumedesigner #wigdesigner #grandrapids #theatre #anna
Wow, 2024 was wild and crazy and amazing and unexpected. I met so many new and wonderful people that will surely be lifelong friends. I was challenged in ways I didnāt expect and found healing when and where I needed it most! I canāt wait for what 2025 has in store! #newyear #tourlife #theatre #tinatour #doubtfirebroadway #doubtfiretour #wardrobesupervisor #stardresser
@doubtfireontour was a whirlwind 3 months! The way this show and these people healed me is something Iāll never forget. When I left Tina, I wasnāt sure if I wanted to tour again. That show took a lot out of me mentally and physically. Doubtfire reminded me of why I love doing what I do. There was something about the show and this group of people that was absolute magic. While it was exhausting (my team and I swapped out 5 new actors in our short 10 weeks!), it was so much fun working with this group!! Until the next one, poppets! #doubtfiretour #mrsdoubtfire #firstnationaltour #wardrobesupervisor #broadway
I figured since everyone else was finally posting their MDQ wrap-ups, I should too!
A Saugatuck Summer is the best kind of summer!MDQ was a surprise front runner for favorite shows. Not only is the show so fun, but the people on this one were special. This summer brought me a lot of life long friends and I couldnāt be more grateful. #milliondollarquartet #saugatuck #wardrobe
This Quartet is definitely worth a Million Dollars! What an honor it is to be surrounded by these incredible artists. Iām so grateful to be spending the summer with such great people!! #milliondollarquartet #wardrobe #wardrobesupervisor #saugatuckmichigan
Surprise!! Iām heading back out on the road with my second favorite Nanny in September! I will be taking over as the Wardrobe Supervisor for this one to help them close out the tour in November. Iām so excited to join such a stellar company. Theyāve already been so great. In the meantime, Iāll be in Saugatuck again working on Million Dollar Quartet, so come say hi before I jet off!
