When I sent the text to @beckybagnell , she replied almost instantly to tell me that she loved it and it’s been pretty smooth sailing since then!
The team at @oxfordchildrens and especially @emmadrage , were so enthusiastic about this book from the very beginning!
Being paired with illustrator @vika_stebleva is such a joy! @tomashtonbooth has done an incredible job with the design.
And I’ve been so lucky to work with @lizscott76 and Anna Shannon on some incredible events and media work over the last few months.

Happy #BookWeekScotland! We’re super excited that every P2 child in Scotland is receiving a copy of The Ballad of Cactus Joe through Read Write Count with the First Minister. That’s a lot of books in the hands of young readers! I hope everyone enjoys the story.

My favourite book for blossom season, but excellent any time of the year. Tisha and the Blossom is all about slowing down and taking the time to savour the wonderful world around us. I always feel a little bit more zen after reading this to my daughter - and hopefully she does too! (Not edited by me - I’m just a fan!)

My friends and I are hosting a charity bake sale by post to help raise funds: donate £30 to the British Red Cross via JustGiving through the link in my bio or stories, and you’ll receive a box of (really rather excellent) madeleines from us as a thank you.
Fundraiser limited to 50 boxes of madeleines at £30 each. The madeleines will be baked & posted from 4 December 2023, so please expect them during this week. All of your donation via JustGiving will go to the British Red Cross, who are working with local partners to help those displaced & injured on both sides of this conflict, and those affected by emergencies worldwide.
