beginning today, i’m joining @jaime.ta and countless other talented wedding vendors in dedicating 5% of each and every wedding booking to @fundsforgaza . this will continue indefinitely. my couples can choose to round up their packages to any additional amount, and this will be an explicitly stated part of my new booking process that will be rolling out in september. i will also be adding a running tally to my website as funds are sent so that all can see where and when an impact is being made.

well… i can officially say “i’ve been published” 🥹
if you told me even 3 years ago that i would be where i am today i wouldn’t have been able to believe you, but here i am so proud of how much i’ve grown and the opportunities that continue to present themselves.

a little business a little pleasure a little personal a little recap a little dump a little word vomit, if i may
this was my second wedding season in a row that started with a behind-the-scenes medical emergency. last year, my body was the problem - this year, my dad’s. to move between panicked phone calls and texts, solice in my little studio, deep anxiety-filled grief, and a wedding filled to the brim with Queer joy feels like my inner most goo was put under a microscope, and i was asked to take a step back and evaluate it all.
a 1/3 life crisis? a wreckoning with self? sleep deprivation? all of the above?????? hello? did you get my email?? what time is clean up?? thank god he’s being downgraded from the ICU. hand me a tissue, a really mediocre plate of enchiladas, and a diet coke, please.
fingers crossed that my off-season cobwebs have been blown completely away over the last 4 days. call your mom, and your dad, too. give your friends some flowers and a big kiss. make a cop absolutely miserable today. love you.
