My very first photobook ‘and then I ran’ will be exhibited in two weeks time at @unioftheartslondon MA photojournalism grad show. The book explores the narrative of my dads adoption and his biological mothers escape from a mother and baby home in Ireland. These homes were a system that was orchestrated by church and state, leading to the maltreatment and suppression of women. More to come soon, message me for a free ticket to the show 💌 @lcclondonphoto @book.arts.workshop

My book ‘the right hand holds the left’ published by @photoireland as a TLP Edition, now available to purchase in store and online @tlp_says 📚 the right hand holds the left (2026), an extension of and then I ran (2023), further develops the visualisation of my grandmother’s time in a mother and baby home, Ireland, 1964. At Castlepollard mother and baby home, women were forced to change their names, some assigned house numbers, others saint’s names, erasing personal identity. My grandmother Muriel became “Bernadette”. The work reflects on the systematic stripping of identity through layered fingerprints making reference to anonymity and erasure.’

‘Hackney: A Year’, a collaboration between @emioconnell and @felixpilgrimphotos . What began with an impulse to photograph flowers together grew over 2024 into a project documenting a specific time and place. Blending nature photography, portraiture and self portraiture, the zine takes the form of a meandering walk or trail upon which we stopped to pause, look closely, record what we saw, before looking up and continuing on our way. Inside the zine can be found some of the people who, like us, came to the Hackney Marshes to walk, think, talk and play, as well as volunteers from the Hackney Tree Nursery who play a vital role in tending to the area’s wildlife.
