Hey Wildwoodians, sometimes we get to do some pretty cool stuff, and something especially crazy happened recently. This ’95 Art & Historic Goldtop ’57 Les Paul came in used recently (1st slide), and it has now found a new home: Guns N’ Roses’ tour bus! Slash is a Les Paul fanatic (understatement of the century!), and his amigo Todd Puma (@gibsonmurphylab ) saw this serial pop up and thought Slash would most certainly dig it. So, it was loaded up with Slash’s signature Seymour Duncan pickups (APH-2S), Emerson 550k pots, and Emerson Paper-in-Oil Tone Capacitors, and Wildwood sent it off for him to wield on their world tour starting late in March (3rd slide). Helping one of the greatest guitar heroes of all time chase tone is…man, there are no words! Catch GnR on their next tour, and keep on rockin’ in the free world, Wildwoodians!

Complacency has always pissed me off.
Not because things need to be perfect, but because creation should always evolve. I find the most joy in taking an idea, a sound, a vision, and pushing it further than I did yesterday. Even the smallest improvement matters to me — a sharper detail, cleaner solder flow, a better wire bend, a tighter radius. More intention. More honesty showing through the work.
The moment I stop looking for ways to grow, refine, and transform the art is the moment I start losing the connection to why I created in the first place.

These kits are the first iterations of some really cool things we have in the works with our friends @wildwoodguitars , and they’re the perfect example of the level of excellence they demand — and the level of excellence we’re proud to provide.
Our pots and caps are designed by me personally to deliver incredible consistency with extremely tight tolerances. But for these kits, we’re taking things even further. Not only do we hand-meter every single pot in all of our kits, but these specific Wildwood kits will also be hand-matched to ensure an even higher level of performance and consistency.
Because of the additional time and attention involved, these kits will cost a little more than our standard offerings, but they’ll be available exclusively through Wildwood Guitars.
That means this is something you can only get from Wildwood — and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with them.

⚠️ Install With Care
We put a lot of care into every prewired kit we build, and while we make them as easy as possible to install, we do recommend having a basic understanding of guitar wiring and soldering before diving in.
If you’ve never soldered before, we don’t recommend learning on one of our kits. It’s always best to have a tech or experienced friend help out.
Take your time, ask questions, and don’t force anything. We’re always here to help — because we’d rather help you do it right than see something get damaged in the process.
