"strawberry and worm in the morning" (2023/26); oil on canvas, 24 x 18 cm on view as part of 30 „SELBST“ curated by @eunjoo.shin1 at Kunstverein Familie Montez @montez.ffm opening this Friday eve. Eun-Joo Shin is a Korean artist who moved to Germany in her mid-20s and has since built up a substantial body of work exploring the themes of the self and others, as well as a wide artistic network. She is celebrating both with this exhibition: alongside works from her early days as a student and then artist in Germany, she has invited 29 peers to contribute a piece each on the themes of identity and continuity. Further activities are planned for Eun-Joo Shin’s anniversary year later in 2026: she has initiated an artistic exchange with South Korea, in which I, alongside three other female artists from our FRANK* network, will also have the opportunity to participate. I'm super excited! ...more on that soon. this strawberry is looking forward to seeing you on Friday! 🍓🍓🐛🌅

'Kirschen Essen Mit Dir' with work by @beckerfides @bel_friede @karlamarchesi @eunjoo.shin1 @emc_collard 🍒🍒Saturday 25. October🍒🍒 💥💥 from 6 – 10 p. m. 💥💥 💥💥 for one night only 💥💥 Projektraum K-Salon Bergmannstrasse 54 10961 Berlin The works of the five painters who have come together in the K-Salon for the exhibition “Kirschen essen mit Dir" (lit.: "Eating Cherries with You”) reflect both the dissonance that resonates in the well-known proverb and the alternative to relationships based on power, distance, and hierarchy. They open up a polyphonic dialogue about interpersonal relationships: sometimes about exclusion and separation, sometimes about connection.

photo by Bernhard Förster of „forest flower, frontal“ (2025) and „forest flower (site study smol plant gods)“ (2021) at the recent exhibition with @fra_nkstern & friends as part of @48stundennk I also wanted to share a text that @sarah_schoderer_art wrote about my practice recently – after many discussions on painting and the state of the world during, before and after our two person show in Frankfurt recently. Thank you Sarah and Bernhard for the perspectives on my work!
