MFA Dance & Embodied Practice • Thesis Workshop • 30 April 2026
// ARI PARI is a transdisciplinary dance practice designed through a methodology inspired by Armenian folk dance in a blending of movement from a variety of codified techniques and somatic methods. This practice engages in a circular spatial orientation found in Armenian folk dance as the foundation for the movement that follows, incorporating knowledge from ballet, contemporary, improvisation, and contact-based partner work.

Here, familiarity of the mundane encounters uncertainty as the in-between state permeates with ambiguity.
