I’ve been struggling a lot lately with procrastinating workouts that feel ‘too hard.’ Not because I don’t want to train…but because in my head I’ve already decided I’m not capable of doing them. I can’t run that fast. I can’t lift that weight. I don’t have the energy for this session. I’ll do it another day. There may be some days that one of these does in fact ring true. But more times, my mind is trying to protect me from potential failure. May this month bring with it the confidence to stop doubting what I’m capable of. #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #hybridtraining #gymmotivation

Everyone loves race day, but it takes work to get there. Reliving my marathon finish from last year - my first ever race - and honestly it’s bringing back all the emotions. To everyone racing London on Sunday. Whether it’s your first or your tenth. Whether you’re chasing a time or just chasing the finish line. Whether you feel ready or not. You’ve done the hard work, now enjoy every second of it. 7 weeks out from my next half marathon…and we’re going for a punchy PB. This is what a typical week of training looks like for me 👇 Same structure every week: • 4 runs • 2 lower body sessions • 1 upper body session • 1 erg session But the days aren’t fixed. Some weeks it’ll look exactly like this Monday–Sunday. Other weeks I’ll move sessions around depending on work, energy, and life. The structure stays the same — the schedule flexes. That’s what keeps me consistent without burning out or missing key sessions. #halfmarathontraining #runningplan #halfmarathon #runningwomen #runtraining

She told me she couldn’t get a PB. Wrong course, not enough training, too hilly. I didn’t believe her. Yesterday @n_kimberlin ran a 4 minute PB at Coventry Half Marathon - a course that turned out to be 512m too long. But honestly? The number isn’t even the point. She had already decided she couldn’t. Our minds do that - they try to protect us from failure by talking us out of trying. Start believing in yourself. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
