I'm trans and everything that they're doing against trans people right now is just completely horrific and makes no sense. I'm here by myself. I'm from Staten Island, so it's a very conservative part of New York, and I couldn't get anybody to come with me. I'm here fighting for everybody, and I can't even get one person in my family to fight for me. I appreciate you reaching out to me.
Honestly, it feels so great to be here - because when I'm back in Staten Island, it just feels like no one knows what's happening. I try to get them to understand, and then I'm the bad guy. I don't even try to come off as aggressive. I'm just like, why? I am trying to get them to explain their own thought process, and they can't even answer me. It's sad because I lost my whole family to brainwashing, basically. I'm not by myself here. We have solidarity. First protest going good.

Editor’s Note: March 31 is International Trans Visibility Day (TDOV). Observed each year since 2009, the day serves to increase visibility, foster allyship, and fight for full equality while celebrating transgender people, their contributions, and resilience. It is a time for advocacy against rising anti-trans discrimination and legislation.

I am grateful for this very kind and fun Broad Street Review interview by An Nichols about my acting career. 🙏Thanks to the PR team at Fox Entertainment for approving this interview. #BestMedicineFoxTV. All the praise I give to the Best Medicine cast and crew is accurately reflected in this article. I could praise them even more 😊 My part in the movie Saturday Night (2024), directed by the brilliant and sweet Jason Reitman, was small and became even smaller after editing. However, filming the scene was technically challenging and time-consuming because it took place on a busy street. So, I had hours to improvise off-camera, in character, with Nicholas Braun, and it was exhilarating. Looking back on that night, I still swoon LOL. Ethel & Ernie is a sitcom pilot created by Julia Wakenheim with humor and subject matter close to my heart, with a wonderful cast and crew.

I’m honored to have a recurring co-star role on Best Medicine, a TV series I truly love. It’s set in a town where community is family. It’s warm, whimsical, hysterical, and feels like medicine for these times. The cast and crew are not only exceptional in their fields but also genuine and caring. Thanks so much to #BestMedicineFoxTV family for this wonderful experience. My character, Coffee Karla, is back this week!

I’ll be attending one of the nationwide peaceful No Kings protests this Saturday Oct 18th, tomorrow. 🇺🇸 If you can (physically and mentally), I hope you’ll also attend. I have found it beautiful, moving and exhilarating to be at protests because there is so much positive energy. People are protesting out of love for what our county should be - to protect everyone’s rights which are now being denied or threatened. Power belongs to the people - No Kings!
Attending protests with my daughter @ameliaxanthe and with friends including @peterhedges7@celianyc has made them more meaningful and more fun. If you can, bring friends and family with you.

It's time for all of us who are willing and able to raise our voices and take to the streets. Make signs, make noise, and peacefully make the 'good trouble' the late Congressman John Lewis implored us all to make.
